Air restriction through a core is increased with thickness. Aluminum transfers heat better than copper/brass. 2 large rows circulate better than 4 small ones. There is a lot more to consider.

Hope everything isnt too costly with original radiator. @Ken- From what I know, the aluminum 3 row is actually not ideal. You are getting three rows of 5/8 tubing. A 2 row can give as much cooling as a 4 row if the total surface area of the exposed fins is the same cubic inches. Actually, a 4 row can inhibit air flow, therefore reducing the cooling effect. You will not that it is wide but extremely thin, and a usual 3 core is much thicker.
