The 700R4 is a good basic easy to install transmission, Dedent cable is most important part. It does have it's weak areas. The 4L60E is a stronger transmission, just requires a TCM. As does the 4L80E. The 4L80E is based off the TH400 and is a rock solid transmission. They almost look the same.3 reasons for using the 4L60E. 1. I already have a rebuilt 4L60E ready to go. 2.
