Re: aux lights. I had almost the same problem. I fixed the fuse popping garbage by using shrink wrap on all of the electrical fittings in the light housing. Now there is no way it can short out it (blow the fuse). And as far as I know the fog lights are supposed to turn off when the hi-beams are on.
