For a 350 to need a 750cfm carb it needs to be built to the hilt and designed to spin way past 6k. With your set up you would be much happier with a 600 vac. secondary carb. It will give you better throttle response better drivability and better fuel economy. Not to mention easier to tune.

edelbrock thunder carb 350. Im working a parts list for my new build. Its going to be my wifes daily driver so gas mileage and reliability is a issue. Its going to be a vortec 350 w/ long tube headers and edelbrock performer intake. I switch to holley awhile back and im just not happy with them at all.The 350 could not be had with the TBI. Additionally all 350 equipped IROC-Z's had standard rear disc brakes. Only some of the 305 IROC's had rear disc. If it had rear disc then you knew it was a 350 IROC-Z. There are lots of contributors to engine surge, the carb can or not be one of them. The old saying that "most carburetor problems are electrical" meaning distributor still holds a lot of truth.
