Enfield no4 mk1 markings
I have a Lee Enfield and I’m wondering where I could possibly track or learn all the markings on the receiver. I have attached a picture of the numbers on this question. Thank you.I have a good condition Enfield No4 Mk1(.303) for sale. Shoots nice, clean bore. Rear 300/600 battlesite pee. Wood is in good condition, but has regular scratches from a rifle of its age and use. Comes with sling and six stripper clips. $320 cash, with ammo (listed below). Military equipment, such as the Lee-Enfield rifle, are often found with letters, numbers, codes, runes and symbols stamped, etched, scratched, embossed, pressed or branded into the wood or metal. I just bought a no4 mk1 and cant figure out what the markings mean, other than that it was made in 1943. Has matching fore stock with receiver , bolt mismatch with a good bore. It has several markings and painted green under wood no rust or pitting. Have also a jungle carbine with same green paint if I understand right helps to preserve metal. Any help with marking.
