Mercury 40 hp lower unit oil capacity
My first outboard..... Mercury Classic 50 1989. Milky oil in lower unit. I have dropped the lower unit and purchased a new impeller and seal kit. I have search Youtube and watched most applicable videos but still could use some help. I prefer articles over videos but either would work. Recommended article about seal and impeller replacement?Product not found. Find a Dealer

Oct 21, 2016 · You will only use a small amount of the 2nd liter. Fill the lower unit from the bottom where the prop shaft is. Let it spill out of the top hole. Put top screw back in. Remove pump from prop shaft hole. Allow a small amount to drain out.
