A post in the Repair moped forum by brandon. nope. i used muratic acid in the tank first to get a real good score. and then i put some kreem in the tank, moved it around. let it sit for a few hours, moved it around. maybe ad some kreem, so on and so forth. i did that for 2 days. i had to drill the excess out of the petcock hole. then flushed it out. ran a filter for a while. now it's great.with the POR-15 specific thinner (not availible in this kit as there is no need for. it.) Aggitate the tank again in slow motions allowing time for the POR-15 to. coat the interior. I took about 45 minutes to be sure.
