When the car was driving it had some play in the steering, slight. When I lifted the car and before I disassembled my steering I pulled on the components but they were tight.I'm going to rebuild me own box with new seals and return the reman box. I took the box apart and the input shaft and output shaft bearing have play in them. I found a new input shaft bearing but am having trouble locating the output shaft bearing. Can i just pull the pitman arm, unbolt the nut that is there, and replace the seal, similar to the pinion seals on the axles? if not, what is the best way? links? any help appreicated, Thanks.We rebuilt the carb, rebuilt the water pump, swapped the transmission and went through just about every other mechanical item of note trying to make things "safe and sound".
