We saved a TON on the cost of new pistons and rings. Anyway, I'm going to stick with the interval period specified by Toyota, they did build the truck, after all. You could probably fudge that interval by 20k. r150f transmission Good info. I changed the diff/transfer and tranny fluids at 20,000 and 30,000 miles respectively (some heavy towing) and they were in relatively good shape. The rear diff fluid was much darker though due to higher temp and oxidation.
