Sep 12, 2019. #1. Any opinions as to which is best? I have tried both, and I think the Ideal connector levers are more secure than those on the small Wago 221 version. On the new small Wago 221 connectors, I have found the levers tend to lift easily. Last edited: Sep 12, 2019. Regards, Mike.Maybe the lever nuts that come pre-installed in drivers and can lights suck ass compared to the WAGO 221s purchased from a supplier, but I haven't yet been impressed to the point where I though "wow! This will be much more reliable than a wire nut" outside of fringe cases (like wire being cut exceptionally short).
