Factorio 6 lane balancer

I was just coming to say that I screwed up the math and I thought 3.5 secs basic speed divided by 2 for the electric furnace is 1.25 not 1.75. It didn't make sense since there are 12 fully compressed belts coming out of the smelter why would I need more than 12 ore belts. So I just need a 12 lane balancer either before the furnaces or after.

As I say in my section on throughput unlimited balancers, this will not suffice if you want optimal throughput under every configuration. The 6 balancers of the standard design are a result of placing 2 throughput limited balancers back-to-back, then cutting out two splitters in the middle, as back-to-back splitters on the same two belts ...The full list of conditions for my compendium is: * Output balanced. * Input balanced. * Throughput under full load >= 99.9%. * Min throughput >= 49.9% (only for balancers with up to 8 input and output belts) * Input belts all beside each other and the same for output belts (only for balancers with up to 8 input and output belts) * Smallest ...

Did you know?

Those are the basic lane balancers but obviously you will never have a fully saturated belt after them unless the input belt is fully saturated or of a higher speed. For mines, the right-hand style is useful if you have two input belts coming in (e.g. for compressing two 75% saturated lanes into a single fully saturated lane for smelting).Re: 6 Red belt balancer. by fur_and_whiskers » Fri Jan 11, 2019 10:33 am. This is an interesting idea, hadn't thought of it before. You can put an output priority filter on splitter sides without a belt to avoid a few bits sitting unused. Here it is with the priority filters and a comparison to a respected 6 to 6 balancer.Belt balancer compendium. I decided to continue working on belt balancers after my last post, I thought they might be useful to someone else so I decided to make a compendium with the ones I've made so far. (missing 5 and 7 for now) If you need a 5/7 to 6/8 just omit one input from a design with more inputs. They are all output count perfect ...Re: 3-2 balancer with unlimited throughput. by Zavian » Sat Jan 06, 2018 6:54 pm. I just use a normal 4-4 balancer with an extra balancer on the end to reduce it to 2 belts output. Simple and always full throughput. Most other attempts at 3 belt balancers are throughput limited. It takes all input belts and distributes them equally to all output belts. Belt balancers exist for all kinds of configurations, but 4-4 or 8-8 are probably the two most common ones. As said you don't always need this. You'll want one at the beginning of the bus to distribute everything evenly. The master resource for intersections is the forum post 4-way intersections: Throughput and deadlocks . It has intersections for 2, 4, 6 and 8 lane. Each intersection is rated A to F according to whether it's completely deadlock safe (A) or has some risk of deadlock (B to F). Well I took a 12 to 12 belt balancer, and combined it with three 4 to 4 lane balancers that I improved from a different 4 to 4 lane balancer, then removed some redundant splitters from the end of the 12 to 12 because the ones on the input of ...2-belt Lane Balancer. This is quite simple, bu there are many applications and i barely see it on public servers. Essentially, you input one or two lanes and it will output 2 equally balanced belts, whose lanes are also balanced. The trigger for this Guide is Nilaus' use of his early game vanilla green cuircuit build so anyone who uses that ...

Still limited throughput when one lane is cut off. In fact, it never compresses the top lane completely, even if the other 2 are backed up. The 4 splitter variants at least manage that. Also the 2 bottom lanes don't compress fully if the top lane is cut off. Although it appears that perhaps it fills them slightly better than the 4 splitter ...Their example is not a true lane balancer by the definition of a balancer. It allows both input lanes to flow to both output lanes but under backed up conditions all it will do is swap the two lanes. A true balancer takes any output conditions and balances it over the inputs regardless of how the output is being consumedThis is how I would merge 2 lanes into an existing 4 belt system (that is already balanced elsewhere). Each lane of the 2 belts coming in gets a one way splitter merge into it's own lane. You'll still want to balance the two merging belts before the actual merge though, if you want it to merge as fast as possible. 1.

Perhaps I should put the lane balancers with multiple input belts into a different section on the page that is called "lane and belt balancers". The flawed design would then get a subtext that explains the problem with it. Edit: Nevermind, your design is a lane balancer.Access the Lover’s Lane catalog at LoversLane.com. This one would balance up to 2 belts of output to one belt evenly on both sides. The splitter perfectly splits any input between the 2 outputs, and the T pattern of belts ensures that all inputs from one of the output is put on one side of the belt. So 50% of the input goes to one side of the splitter, and ... r sat I mean of course it will. You don't even need a balancer for that, just directly connect 3 of those input to the output and skip that whole mess. You should be testing them 1 at a time. Place 10 or so belts at the end of the balancer and just let 20 items through on a single belt and watch the distribution. It won't be even, which is a problem. lkq junk yardshenry ford chartsavings account ally bank 218 votes, 67 comments. 345K subscribers in the factorio community.
